Garrison

The "Kazerne" seen from the Infanterielaan. These buildings were used as barracks
and were a military station from 1939 until 1992. Nowadays it's a multi-functional centre,
our dentist is located here for instance.  (photo 24Jun21)

This was an accidental shot and not at all in focus, but I kept it as I do
like it somehow as it pictures a wonderful Spring day. (photo 28May21)

Aqualaren is a subtropical swimming pool with indoor and outdoor facilities. Obviously it

Green light

Last week our local newspaper 'De Krant van Tynaarlo' stated that green light
has been given to the organisers of the Zuidlaardermarkt, the annular horse and
country market which will take place in October. ‘See first than believe’ is the general
thought however. Last year's edition was cancelled due to Covid restrictions.

Closed

Pizzeria 'De Rooie Kater' ('The Red Tom Cat') burned down several weeks ago,  allegedly
caused by some youngsters playing with fire.  A real shame. Let's hope it will be rebuild as it
was a good place to eat. (photo 16Jun21)

Miraculous catch of fish

The statue 'Miraculous catch of Fish' ('De wonderbaarlijke Visvangst' in Dutch)
was a gift to De Wachter Mill Museum in 2007. It refers to the Gospel of Luke
(Luke 5:1-11). The statue was made by Onno de Ruyter. (photo 5Apr20)
