Poffertjes

This week the 'poffertjeskraam' was build up again on the central market square.

The temporary restaurant will be located here during the tourist season, serving a 

traditional Dutch treat called 'poffertjes': small fluffy pancakes, served with 

powdered sugar and butter. With our current Covid rules it is allowed

to be open between noon and 6 pm. (photo 5May21)

Dobbe

The pond located in a village green was the place where -back into history-

cattle drank water, and it was also used by the fire-brigade to fight fires.

In Dutch a pond like this is called a 'dobbe'. (photo 17Mar21)

Op de brink langs de Oude Tolweg wordt een kudde schapen ingezet

om het gras kort te houden. De ronde 'vijver' in het midden wordt
