Havenkanaal
The end, or the beginning of course, of the canal called Havenkanaal.
At this point there are roads on both sides, the Havenstraat is on the left and on
the right is major road N386 with a bike path next to it. (photo 14May21)

Millstones
Three millstones in front of mill De Wachter. Their general function is grinding
wheat or other grains. De Wachter was built in 1851 as a corn mill and oil mill,
and is a museum nowadays. (photo 3Mar21)

CDP theme day: Photo of the year
Ik wens je een gelukkig en vooral gezond nieuwjaar!
Elke eerste dag van de maand is City Daily Photo theme day. Deze 1e januari is voor ieders meest favoriete foto van het afgelopen jaar. Dit blog begon in juli 2020 nadat we in februari vorig jaar verhuisden naar Zuidlaren, vlak voordat de coronapandemie uitbrak. Deze foto uit het voorjaar van museummolen De Wachter en de bloeiende magnolia is één van de eerste foto's die ik plaatste.
