His work can be seen until October in the lobby of the Brink Hotel. The photo shows

Bye bye primary school

On their final day at primary school the oldest kids have their moment of fame

while they are woven goodbye one by one by the rest of the school. They clearly

enjoyed it as there was lots of noise and laughter.  (photo 6Jul21)

On their last day at primary school the oldest kids who will go to secondary

education have a festive day and are preparing here for a ride on their decorated

A Summer nuisance

BEWARE!!
OAK PROCESSIONARY!!

A common sight during the Summer months: oak trees that are marked for having

the oak processionary on them. These caterpillars do not just cause damage 

to the oak by eating its leaves, they are also a human 

irritant as their hairs can cause skin irritation and asthma. (photo 2Jul21)

B&B

A wooden post along an unpaved road halfway Midlaren and Zuidlaren 

advertises for a B&B and is (most of all) meant for people walking the Pieterpad. 

This popular long distance walking route from the north of the Netherlands to the 

south, runs 498 km and passes Zuidlaren. (photo 22Jan21)
