Little free libraries

I spotted not one but two little free libraries at the corner of Campinge and Lottinglaan.

. They are an initiative of the neighbourhood association 'Noorder Es'. (photo 26May21)

Orange

With the UEFA European Football Championship coming near, supermarkets

have all kinds of campaign activities. The add on this bus stop tells that

you can save for a fluorescent orange ‘fluorange’ outfit, as orange is

Havenkanaal

The end, or the beginning of course, of the canal called Havenkanaal. 
At this point there are roads on both sides, the Havenstraat is on the left and on

 the right is major road N386 with a bike path next to it. (photo 14May21)

Sticker

This weathered sticker on a lamp post advertises for mill museum 'De Wachter'.

Due to covid it has been closed for some time now, let's hope it will be

4 Mile track

Reaching the 5.0 km point of the 4 mile or 6.4 km long track 

on the Lentis Dennenoord area. The track can be done running, 

walking, or cycling, and is also accessible for wheelchairs.

Poffertjes

This week the 'poffertjeskraam' was build up again on the central market square.

The temporary restaurant will be located here during the tourist season, serving a 

traditional Dutch treat called 'poffertjes': small fluffy pancakes, served with 

powdered sugar and butter. With our current Covid rules it is allowed

to be open between noon and 6 pm. (photo 5May21)
